Helping patients with heart failure at their most vulnerable
March 25, 2023
Heart failure (HF) is a chronic disease which cannot be cured. When patients are hospitalized for worsening HF, they enter a “vulnerable phase” of 1-3 months during which more than one in four patients is rehospitalized or dies. Studies have shown that disease-modifying therapy can make a difference with proper adherence and dosage, but clinicians still struggle to provide personalized treatment.
In order to make a difference, we developped in collaboration with our partner the CHUV, a novel 24/7 remote monitoring solution using data from non-invasive medical devices and powered by our AI-assisted platform. Co-developed with heart failure specialists in a pilot clinical study, this innovative method enables clinicians to evaluate symptoms and disease trajectory throughout each patient’s vulnerable phase, providing key insights to guide prognosis, dose optimization, and intervention plans.
